Apple has been expanding the capabilities of Find My app, allowing users to easily locate their missing iPhones, iPads or even other things via AirTags, which by the way works really well.

The company, with iOS15, brought another feature to the Find My app that brings the ability to locate the iPhone even when it has run out of battery or have been turned off intentionally.

However, the functionality only works if you've got a compatible iPhone and the feature is turned on, here's a list.

2.

Then, tap on the Find My option

3.

Now, tap on Find My iPhone and turn on the toggle in front of it

4.

After this, look for the option Find My network and enable that as well.

This is the feature that will let you find your iPhone even when it's offline

5.

Also, check to Send Last Location option, this will send your iPhone's last location to your Apple account when the battery is low.

To check if the feature has been turned on, restart your iPhone. If you see the message iPhone Findable After Power Off, then the feature is enabled on your device.

That's it. You can now locate or track your iPhone using Find My app on the web via iCloid.com/find, Mac or any other Apple device linked with the same Apple account.

How does the entire thing work and how to locate your iPhone
As mentioned, you can locate your iPhone using the web or any other Apple device with the same Apple account.

Once it's enabled, the iPhone will be locked and can only be unlocked by re-entering the passcode.
